Black and White

I love black and white photos. Sometimes they just add so much more character to a photograph than if it were in black and white. Here are a few that I like:

Pet Rescue Center – Cats and Dogs

Lin January 28th, 2009

A few more cats and dogs from the Pet Rescue Center. The puppies will be next! There are so many photos I didn’t want to overwhelm the reader with like 20 photos in one post. :)

I didn’t add a shadow or border around these photos. Just trying to figure out if I like the simplistic look of these images more or not.

Mr. T

Lin November 14th, 2008

Mr. T is what *I* call this little guy. He’s absolutely a lovey dovey Basset Hound. The sun was setting, giving the overall ambiance a golden glow. I am not sure how old this little guy is but he sure does love getting out, running around, and sniffing (what hounds do!).

When I photograph a dog, I want to capture emotions.  I don’t want to just capture a dog sitting pretty.  Formal or traditional shots are nice, but my photographic emphasis is for a dog to just be a dog.  I like to take a step back and see the owners interact with the dog. Other times we will let the dog be; to go about his own business discovering his own world.

So below are a few photos of Mr. T being well, himself!
